Teens and Technology

The students will discuss how many and how much technology affects their sleep. From television, homework, social media, games, and constant communication with their friends there are multiple opportunities to interact instead of sleep. We will discuss how many do it, how often they check their devices, and what they might do different now that they know how it affects their grades and mood.

Later School Start Times

As part of their coursework, these students researched articles and studies that compared school systems who adopted a later school start time. They were informed about grades improving, depression and behavioral problems decreasing, and less accidents occurring on the way to school. They then developed their own position and presented it to the school tribunal. Find out if they are for or against a later school start time.
